We studied one the competitors of POSCO, Nippon Steel, which uses same steel making process (i.e. blast furnace process) to manufacture steel. Nippon’s current emissions are 1.94 tons of GHG per 1 ton of steel production. This .2 ton less when compared to POSCO.
